Farm to Table

Misconceptions

Misconception:

Local products are too expensive.

Truth:

Our farmers understand the demands of the wholesale market and strive to keep costs low. Although our primary focus is on delivering products of the highest quality, we also work hard to have competitive prices.

Misconception:

Local produce is not available in the large quantities that I need.

Truth:

Whether you are a catering company, banquet hall, or a restaurant planning a major event, our farmers can provide as much product as needed, so long as the customer gives advance notice. Even if the large quantities are needed on a regular basis, as long as the desired product is in season we can deliver.

Misconception:

Local products are never available when you need them.

Truth:

While seasonal produce can be a bit tricky at times, most products are available for delivery 6 days a week. In addition to highlighting new products, our weekly update keeps you informed about upcoming crops as well as harvests that are ending. Although Texas has many different types of environments, many fruits and vegetables simply do not thrive in this state.

Misconception:

Local products are too inconsistent.

Truth:

Buying seasonally means that you are getting the freshest and tastiest produce available, but it also requires adapting to the natural ebb and flow of the elements that affect crops and growth. Since all of our farmers engage in chemical-free practices, their crops are especially susceptible to unpredictable conditions. However, there are many products that we can guarantee will be available on a regular basis.
